It has been told from a source that Nokia will not be continuing Symbian OS in 2012. They might been switching to Maemo. You might expect N Series and E series to change as well.
Nokia Advantages:
1. Open source
2. Do not need to pay money for the operating system ( Save Cost)
3. More user experience than traditional N-Series / E-Series
